The modes of dissemination in multimodal digital distance education (keeping in view of the network bandwidth in India) consists of
=>Instruction material in printed form.
=>Audio synchronized lectures in interactive form in CDROM format
=>Just-in–time lectures with Quiz, CBT, FAQ, References, Glossary in CDROM format.
=>Interactive Multimedia based CBT in CDROM format.
=> Case studies with interactive learning in CDROM format
=>Web based instruction material under LMS with facility for interaction between Instructor-learner and learner-learner through the use of Whiteboard, Chat, Discussion forum.
=>Limited lead lectures through Video conferencing.
=>Lab and Project work at the work centers under the guidance of Instructors. However, cursor animated instruction for each lab assignments will be provided.
=>A software tool has been developed for sending back the evaluated answer scripts to individual students through email.
=>A Workshop is arranged for the students at the beginning of each semester for orientation and usage of IT enabled education.
In addition to these the student performance in the lab and project will be continuously evaluated. The students of distance education and face-to-face would appear in the same semester examination in the conventional format wherever possible.
